The first winter rains hit Dubai, causing a mild nip in the air.Earlier in the day, strong winds swept through Dubai and Sharjah, kicking up dust and sand and reducing visibility. Residents from parts of Sharjah, Ras Al Khaimah, Fujairah and Dubai said the heavy to moderate rains with thunderstorms brought a welcome respite from the long spell of summer heat. Humidity is also likely to increase during the night as well as early morning on Sunday over some coastal and internal areas.
