The UAE Moon Sighting Committee has announced the first day of Ramadan this year will be May 17.
The federal government and ministry employees will be working from 9am to 2pm during Ramadan, and schools, 5 hours school day during the month. Working hours for the private sector will be reduced by two hours from the company work hours.
