The Khalifa Al Tajer Mosque is the Middle East's first eco-friendly mosque located in Deira. It is open only for Muslims who are coming to pray and can accommodate up to 3,500 worshippers.
Made from green building materials, the mosque is designed to use solar energy to power the lights, makes use of air conditioners that emit reduced greenhouse gases and boasts thermal-insulation systems for lowering energy consumption.
The mosque is maintained well and allows worshippers to help the environment whilst performing their religious duties.
The mosque has a huge car park, which is great for accommodating the many people who come to pray, especially during Friday prayers.
