Queen Rania of Jordan is one of the keynote speakers for the Global Women's Forum that takes place in Dubai on February 23rd and 24th .In addition to strengthening women's roles globally, the event will also look at innovation in light of the technology-driven age, focusing on five key factors: Achieving, Creating, Giving, Energizing and Sustaining. The event will also feature interactive workshops and creative exhibits by the Women's Forum for the Economy and Society Discovery.
Jordan’s Queen Rania is one of the few figures in the Arab world who
commands a strong following among both English- and Arabic-speakers,
with more than 3.4m followers on Twitter. She is also known for her
advocacy work in education, community empowerment and cross-cultural
dialogue, as well as being Unicef’s eminent advocate for children.
Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, met with Queen Rania Abdullah of Jordan, and Christine Lagarde, Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund, on the sidelines of the Global Women's Forum in Dubai which opened today. The meetings, which took place at the Jumeirah Majlis, also included the official speakers of the two-day event.
Sheikh Hamdan welcomed the guests and wished them success in their efforts to achieve their goals in empowering women and their positive participation towards UAE's sustainable development.
